V-Deck™ is a modular temporary access platform, as part of a larger system, that provides a very strong and stable platform for works as an alternative to scaffolding. It can be used for large or small work areas dependent upon the customer requirements. It can be built up to 12 levels high. It is installed by trained V-Deck™ Installers who tend to come from either a scaffold or rope access background.
Additional benefits include:
- Fast Installation: Our very conservative installation rate is from 50m² per day for a 4-person team. Experienced teams achieve over 85m2 per day. Installers achieve triple figure installation rates when they use it on a moving workfront.
- Low self-weight: Low self-weight of approximately 25kg/m2
- High wind speeds: Low profile of 120mm which means it can easily be designed to take winds of 50m/s or 112mph. Higher wind speeds can be engineered if required.
- Lift & Lower: V-Deck™ can be stepped, lifted, lowered and angled while the platform is in situ in order to overcome obstacles and to provide the exact height required for the works.
- Cantilever: V-Deck™ can punch out to create cantilevers.
- Curved Structures: It can be built multi-directionally as the system can punch out at 90° angles and built out from there. This means that the V-Deck™ provides an easily erected platform for structures with curves like jetties and bridges.
- Follow Pipework: V-Deck™ can follow the 90° angles of pipework under structures.
- Easy Infill: Scaffold boards are used for infill where obstructions dictate.
- Multi-Level: Up to 12 levels can be installed.
- Scaffold Compatible: V-Deck™ is fully compatible with all types of scaffolding. Standard scaffolding handrails, toe boards and access towers can be easily used as the system is fully compatible with all scaffolding types.
