V-Deck™ is a high strength, low weight, modular Temporary Works Platform that provides a strong and stable platform for temporary works access. The below information is according to UK standards, we also have this information for USA, Canada, Australia and other markets.

V-Deck is designed to comply with BS 5975:2019 Code of Practice for Temporary Works which includes scaffold, formwork, and temporary works platforms. When designing Temporary Works Platforms, the criteria listed in UK National Annex Eurocode 1 EN1991-1-7 Actions on Structures must be taken into account.
The Factor of Safety for yield point for temporary works (scaffold equipment) as per BS5975:2019 equipment is 1.65:1 and failure point is 2:1
The Factor of Safety for V-Deck equipment is a failure of minimum of 3:1 for all components.
Work at Height UK Regulations 2005 requires a logged inspection of the working platform every 7 days or less according to conditions.
The governing standard for V-Deck temporary works platforms is Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) amendments 2018.
The components utilised in the V-Deck™ System meet the following technical standards:
Mobile access and working towers made of prefabricated elements - Materials, dimensions, design loads, safety and performance requirements.
Temporary works equipment - Scaffolds. Performance requirements and general design.
Temporary works equipment - Information on materials.
Temporary works equipment (Scaffold equipment) - Load testing.
Temporary works equipment - Protection fans for scaffolds. Performance requirements and product design.
Note:
LOLER 1998 regulations do not apply to BS5975:2019 Temporary Works Equipment or BSEN 12811-Parts 1-4 Scaffold equipment.
LOLER does not cover include the design criteria for Temporary Works Platforms as per the above standards.
LOLER Inspection is only required every six months.
LOLER Factor of Safety is not applicable to BS5975:2019 Temporary Works (Platforms) or EN1991-1-7 Actions on Structures.
V-Deck™ is installed by trained personnel who have been trained and certified in accordance with V-Deck™ training procedures. V-Deck™ should be installed in accordance with qualified in IRATA/SOFT/SPRAT or equivalent Rope Access Techniques and/or Work at Height Techniques including scaffold. Reference VTS 1006 OPM V-Deck™ Installers Competency.
Note Important Information
All the components in the V-Deck System are to be used for Work Platforms only.
The use of the components for lifting operations is strictly prohibited.
